Quinchela Dent-HessQuinchela Dent-Hess

      • Quinchela Dent-Hess has an extensive background in communications, community health education and program development. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and Master of Public Health in Health Behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. Quinchela has a proven track record of building, maintaining and leveraging a diverse network of colleagues and clients to increase community awareness and involvement. Her experience in previous roles as a Community Outreach Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator and Community Education Specialist have honed her skills in public speaking and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Quinchela is committed to nurturing community relationships in support of programs and services at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare.


Waffa TraoreWaffa Traore, LPC

      • Therapist
      • Waffa has worked in the field of mental health counseling for the past 10 years, in different settings varying from the home, school, residential and short-term crisis stabilization settings. She received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 2009 from Shenandoah University and her Master Degree in Forensic Psychology in 2011 from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Waffa enjoys working with children, teenagers, and their families. She often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength based, and a Client-centered intervention in her work with children and adolescents as well as utilizes a Family System approach with families. Waffa professional interests include utilizing Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mode De-activation modality in her work with at risk youths and their families.

      • Darren Meyers has been working in the mental health field since 1987. He has worked in all levels of care with residents starting at Western State Hospital in Tacoma, Washington to Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Towson, MD. Darren has currently been an employee with the company since 2002 and plans on remaining here to help provide a high level of care to the families and residents we serve at North Spring’s Inpatient Acute Hospital.

    • Christy Evans received her Associates of Science in Business Administration in 2010. She then continued her education and graduated with Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication Studies from James Madison University. Christy joined the team in 2015 and is eager to utilize her communication skills to foster strong relationships that provide the quality resources that children and adolescents in the community need.

Brooke Peters

    • Brooke received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis in psychology and a minor in biology. She went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Applied Clinical Psychology. Brooke has been providing mental health services to children, teens, and their families for four years. This includes acute hospitalization, intensive in-home therapy services, and school-based behavioral management. Brooke’s professional interests include providing psychological assessments and the treatment of anxiety, PTSD, depression, and other mood disorders using cognitive behavioral interventions.


Kelly Andrews, LPC

  •  Kelly initially started her work with children and adolescents after graduaKelly Ating from George Washington University in 2007 with a master’s degree in SpecialEducation. Kelly started as a psycho-educator in a public charter school in Washington DC. There she was responsible for teaching adolescents with emotional andbehavioral disabilities. Kelly continued to navigate theeducation system as an educator, mentor teacher and specialist in DC and Virginia. In 2013 Kelly went on to receive an additional master’s degree in Counseling from George Mason University and has been working as a therapist in various settings. Kelly’s clinical experience started in private practice, working primarily with children, adolescents and families. Kelly’s therapeutic orientation lends itself to CBT, DBT, Family systems model, Mindfulness, Play/Art therapy as well as Person-centered therapy. Additionally Kelly worked at the Prince William County CSB with adolescents and families facilitating Virginia Independent Clinical Assessments (VICAP).


Hayley Lewis

    • Hayley received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Arkansas State University, where she majored in psychology and minored in sociology. She went on to earn her Specialist in Education Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Arkansas State University. Hayley has experience working with severally mentally ill individuals, which includes facilitating group and individual therapy sessions. Hayley also spent time working with a community mental health facility’s crisis team, which served across several counties. During that time, she responded to crisis calls to a variety of settings and assisted in screening and placing individuals with severe mental health needs. Hayley is passionate about providing mental health services to assist others in reaching and maintaining their fullest potential.
