Residential Treatment Programs

Horizon Program: Horizons Program provides comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment services to adolescents who have been identified as needing treatment for sexualized behaviors. The program is overseen by therapists, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Providers (CSOTP), and uses Mode Deactivation Therapy to interrupt the chain of thoughts and feelings that led to these behaviors.

Sunrise Program: Sunrise Program provides gender-specific, structured and nurturing treatment. The program is divided into two units by age and offers young women the opportunity to move past the obstacles that mental health problems, abuse and victimization have placed in their path. Therapies are carefully combined on an individual basis to provide an environment in which young women can heal and flourish. Treatment focusing upon sexual reactivity secondary to previous abuse is provided on an individual basis. In addition, North Spring Behavioral Healthcare has developed a Sex Trafficked and Exploited Girls Program.

Adventurers Program: Adventurers Program is designed for the treatment of younger boys, who suffer from emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders which have resulted in an inability to safely remain in the community. These children have typically suffered significant trauma in their lives, and need a safe place to heal. Our treatment team is able to provide for children with sexual reactivity, emotional volatility and difficulty in trusting adults.

Trailblazers Program: Trailblazers Program is designed for the treatment of child and adolescent boys who suffer from emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. It is divided into two age specific units. These young men require intensive intervention in order to overcome repeated problems with school performance, substance abuse, and rebellion against authority.

Assessment and Diagnostic Program: Provides a secure facility for male and female children and adolescents, who would benefit from Psychological Testing and other additional evaluations in order to clarify diagnostic and treatment needs. Through collaboration with our community partners in a multi-disciplinary team approach, recommendations are made to best serve the individual needs of each client. Expected stays are 30-90 days. Clients receiving these services participate in all program components.

Stabilization Program: Serves children and adolescents who are in need of intensive residential care and treatment. This service is designed for nonhospitalized individuals experiencing an acute crisis that may jeopardize their current community living situation. It includes outcome-oriented, child and family centered individualized treatment. A short term stay, 30-90 days, to ensure safe return to community setting.
